What is Check4Tech Frontline?
Check4Tech Frontline is software for EMS and fire departments that need their trucks and stations ready for the next call. It covers daily and periodic rig checks, apparatus checks, inventory, narcotics accountability, and maintenance logs in one place — built for people working in the bay, not just at a desk. Crews finish checks on the vehicle. Supervisors and admins can see what got done, what’s missing or expiring, and which units need attention.
Who is Frontline for?
EMS agencies, fire departments, and other first-responder groups that still rely on paper, binders, or scattered spreadsheets for readiness work. It works for a single station or a multi-vehicle fleet. Same process on the ambulance, the apparatus, the compartment, the stockroom, and the admin side.
How do Frontline rig checks work?
Crews run daily rig checks and periodic apparatus checks on a guided checklist instead of a clipboard. You can go compartment by compartment, confirm quantities and status, and scan barcodes or QR codes if your agency sets that up. Every completed check is tied to the person who did it and the time it was finished. Leadership can see which units were checked, which were skipped or overdue, and what got flagged.
Does Frontline handle inventory and expiration tracking?
Yes. Frontline tracks supplies and equipment on vehicles, in compartments, and in storage. You can watch stock levels, lot info where you use it, removals and restocks, and items that are getting close to expiration. Low-stock and expiration alerts help you restock before a shortage or expired item shows up on a call. Inventory stays tied to the same system as your rig checks, so the truck and the report don’t tell two different stories.
How does Frontline support EMS narcotics and controlled substances?
Frontline covers the full narcotics workflow on the ambulance and in the station — not just a log sheet. You track vials and lots (including expiration), pouch and safe inventory, patient use, restock, waste, destruction, and returns to the hospital or pharmacy. Usage updates inventory so the count on the truck matches what was actually administered or wasted. Chain-of-custody is built in: provider and witness PIN verification, signatures, and timestamped logs of who handled what. Admins get fleet-wide activity, cost and usage reporting, and alerts when narcotics are used or need attention. For New York agencies, Frontline also generates NYS controlled-substance documentation from your live data — including semi-annual inventory (DOH-3848), hospital receive / usage verification (DOH-4004), related compliance PDFs, and loss reporting (DOH-2094) — so you are not rebuilding those forms by hand from paper logs.
Can Frontline track maintenance on ambulances and apparatus?
Yes. Maintenance logs and scheduling live next to your readiness work, so problems found during a rig check can be written up and handed off to the right people. You can keep service history, schedule preventive work, and track repairs, mileage-related service, and recurring issues on a unit. That means fewer surprises when a truck needs to leave the bay — and a clearer record when leadership asks what was done.
Is Frontline built for mobile use in the field?
Yes. Frontline is meant for crews on the ambulance and apparatus, not only for admins at a computer. Mobile workflows cover scanning, compartment checks, narcotics use, and documentation where the work happens. If signal drops in the bay, the garage, or on a call, crews can keep working offline — submissions queue on the device and sync when the connection comes back. Admins still get desktop views, alerts, and reporting for the fleet. If your agency uses QR portal access for certain roles, that fits into the same Check4Tech setup.
How is Frontline different from paper checklists or spreadsheets?
Paper and spreadsheets can record that someone ran a check. They don’t usually give you live fleet status, consistent accountability, expiration alerts, narcotics history, or maintenance in one spot. Frontline puts that work in one system. Crews move through structured checks faster, exceptions show up right away, and admins can show what happened without digging through binders or shared drives. Most agencies look at Frontline after skipped checks, expired stock, or messy narcotics logs have already become a problem.
